Oh No!

im hoping i can return it, ive put the old HSF on it and it doesnt look like its ever been tampered with :D
 
bah the guy i bought it off mailed me the link to get an RMA from ATI :( iive request one and im gonna act dumb and if they insinuate ive tried to alter it (which theres no real proof tbh) then ill denie it, admittidly i did replace the cooling with better cooling but id like to see them rpoove it :P also i nevere overlcocked the card very much at all as the R300 sucked :P
 
nope not at all :( gotta hope and pray ATi will replace it, else im gonna have to get a new gfx card meaning prommie is another payday off :P

I have just fitted my new MB in and while I was looking at my 9800 which is pelt cooled I noticed that its bent a little...:eek:
 
what you mean? bower in the middle? if so i think mine was getting a bit too, i reckon my card over heated tbh, even tho it weren overclocked it was just propper hot, even with the video silencer
 
wow thats a very low price, think i might pick one up unless i cna get a great deal from some1 one a second hand one :P

Think ill give a miss on sending my old one back as they aint gonna replace it i doubt, just gonna waste money sending it all the way back to the US.

So is there a morale byhind this tale? dont replace HSF and dont O/C? or u think my R300 was just a crap version and dont worry :P
 
I would expect them to replace it without any hassles tbh, retail heatsink back on & no mods done to the board & that should be it.
 
hmmm maybe we shud make this thread a poll, see what people think about the issue :P as of yet ATI havent even replied to my RMA request ;(
 
funny how companies are always free to let u buy things from them but never have the time to deal with problems :P i love phoning the sales lines adn demanding the deal with it :P
 
yeah know what you mean.. I brought a external UBD HDD case a while back and it had a fault. Basically the power switch was faulty and would not always switch on. I sent it back and they said that there was noting wrong with it and was going to charge me £20 for NFF. I then decided to email them the short video I made of the fault and I soon for a new one.. :D
 
Oh god ive had that, very very annoying, thankfully only 1 shop i use has this "you pay if its not faulty" thing

You see that is a damn fine idea, you can prove the fault in which case they have no leg to stand on. This is where I am different (as a webstore), I'm so sick of crap service from other stores that shall remain nameless that my service will be the best - it's the service that matters in my opinion, as well as good prices and decent supply.
 
like my issue is pretty much resolved :P and Phil i know exactly where ure coming from, why do u think i love EP so much? i aint even got my prommie yet and already im 110% pleased and happy :P
