i almost got an intel pentium 4 3.8GHz, but for the same price i could get a amd athlon 64 3000+, so i got the 3000+ cos it was amd, and i alredy had a amd computer so i knew that amd were good

Well if it was the 3.8 for the same price then you should have got that cause they're better than a 3000+ 64 an usually cost about £420 whereas the AMD 3000+ cost less than £100

Umm, sort of Intel does. AMD's dual core procs really whoop Intels. Also AMD isn't very far behind in single core testing, except for gaming.

did you just say that amd loses to intel in gaming?

no it isnt far behind intel in most tests, but is winning in gaming. but personally i believe that amd are winning almost everything at the moment when u compare procesors price against price

i must agree. and price vs price is WAY more important than say cpu vs cpu because if u can get more for your money, ur a dumbass if you don't :bootyshak

I have tried to say this on another thread. With Intel you pay a hefty price for the name. Price for price on CPU's - AMD give you more bang for your buck (well - £££'s) :p

And $$$$'s but yeah ask people on the street what Intel is, then AMD see how many people know AMD. Intel is more widley known and I think many people dont know what AMD is capable of.
