stumbled across this review when looking for amd benchies. gives benchmark results for both the amd and intel dual cores and also the 660, 570 and 4000+diego i think (or it might be CH)

to sum it up for lazy people like me...

the new intel dual core loses horribly at alsmot every benchie, oftne being beat by the 570! it is only in some mp3 encoding and some adobe work where the dual cores shine through, and often amdx2 beats it hands down anyway.

Yeah Intel looks to have lost the race again...but peeps like Dell and other big corporations will keep them in business....

Old news, Intel really need to get their act together.

dell is the only thing keeping intel alive, dell have always used intel and nearly every computer in my house is dell and, when they do use amd i will respect them :)

ROFL....

I'm BiCPUal, so i like both AMD and Intel.

Intel might get raped in games ATM, but i tell ya something, my rig did start up quicker and rip DVD's quicker when i was with Intel ;)

I dont know but I dont think that those 2 insignifcant factors render having an Intel over an AMD :p lol

Yeah I know. Intel aren't that bad but you have to admit they are lagging behind a bit?

I actually hope they pull it out in the next round and beat AMD to some faster processors. Its good for the competition doncha know.

Yeah Intel are lagging behind heaps :( and I'm all for competition in the market place mate. We as the end users benefit in the long run, from such competition. If one platform remained at the top for too long, things would stagnate i.e Intel

Cool that's what I want too. Intel rested on their Laurels and got lazy which has allowed AMD to go ahead in leaps and bounds. Hopefully Intel are working to right that! :p

We can only hope mate. They let AMD have 64 bit processors for 18 mnths, before doing anything about it. Waiting on Microsoft to deliver Win XP 64 bit, before delivering a compatable processor themselves was a stupid decision imho. But you live and learn I guess lol

Intel is bound to dominate the next round, they pulled a 3dfx this round though and completely missed the boat.... Especially considering they had to use AMD's 64 bit architecture (teeheehee).
