I've been away from the forums for a little while, figured a reintroduction was in order for those who were never graced by my presence
I'm Josh, nice to meet'cha. I'm from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, and no we're not all like those lot from TOWIE. We're way worse.
I'm a big hardware enthusiast as far as the theory goes - I love to read up on the latest stuff and see what's hot. Unfortunately, as a student, I don't really have the capital to constantly update to the newest stuff. I'm looking at you, Dicehunter.
I rock a 3770k at 4.4GHz and a r7850PE at 1200MHz; the system's been folding pretty constantly for Team 98860 for the last year. With the games I play I see little point in upgrading my system any time soon, though who knows what the future holds. I'm a big believer in buying what's needed for you (and I promise, that's not just my lack of money speaking).
Those of you who've been around for a little bit will (hopefully) remember that I was on the staff team before, writing articles and the odd stupidly long review. Alas, that is no longer the case, but I feel I should shine some light on the situation.
The vast majority of people seem to think the life of a tech reviewer's easy - it sure as hell is not. There is a LOT of work to do, and often not enough hours in the day to do it. Balancing my personal life, education, and review/article writing was too much for me to handle, and something had to give.
I had a great time working for Tom, though I shiver every time I remember the 12 hour drive to the TTL Towers.
Upon my request, my login details were changed to give me the space required to get on top of myself. Having settled down a lot, both in college workload and my health, I asked Tom if there was any room in the Inn.
So, I think that's about it.
Not sure how much I have left to contribute anymore, but I daresay you'll see me around.
