So here we are on the brink of a new era and with such a monumental event in GPU development, brings with it DX12 and so here's where you guys come in.

We need to create a list of DX12 titles you think Tom should utilise in the reviews on the GPU test rig.

Well here's what we have come up with so far:

Hitman.
Rise of the Tomb raider.
Ashes of the Singularity.
Gears of War.
Quantum Break.
Forza Apex.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Star Citizen. X
Total War: Warhammer.

So which games do you guys think would make for great GPU testing? Which games due for DX12 patching or general release would you like to see added to the test list?
Let us know in the thread below.

Personally, I don't think DX12 is necessarily what needs to be the main focus.

the GPU test rig games needs an update definitely, DOOM is a sure fire winner, especially as it using OpenGL.

Other titles I would like to see are The Witcher 3,Mirrors Edge and Tomb Raider.

Mainly these will bring the GPU tests up to date and in like with other tests across reviews.

I don't think it's a good idea to use Star Citizen while it's still in alpha. Testing performance might be ways off at times, where it could be due to bugs or new additions, or just the lack of proper optimization. I just think it's a bad idea.

your list seems to cover the genres adequately, you could throw arma 3 in there but thats more cpu dependant.

I agree, star citizen really shouldn't be on the list tbh (I know I'm biased, but it's not finished, so shouldn't be used)

Did anyone actually buy quantum break?

Is it as bad as I have heard?

It started off really interesting then it became a non-stop action shooter. It may get better later on but I stopped playing it after that. At the time it wasn't worth the £50. Not sure how much it is now.

These are just games I'd like to see. As our gaming suite for results is really dated.
Hitman.
Rise of the Tomb raider.
Ashes of the Singularity.
Gears of War.
Forza Apex.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Total War: Warhammer.
Witcher 3
GTAV
The Division
Crysis 3 seems to be still demanding.
The Talos Principle for Vulkan?
Far Cry Primal for 4k results? Good optimized game. Either for 4k results, or lower end hardware should do well at 1080p. Could even be used as a basis for entry 1440p performance for low to high midrange brackets?

Future games:
Civilization Vi
Mafai 3
Battlefield 1
Dishonored 2
ForHonor. Not sure about this one.. probably not possible, only multiplayer
Kingdom Come: Deliverance maybe?

Obviously depends on if the games are worth reviewing(get rated well, no one wants bad games to be benched) and if they are easy to benchmark.

OK so I've watched sooooo many different reviews of the GTX1080 and the new GTX1070 review by some Canadian guy called Luke? (Meh).
So this list I've compiled is of all their games and benches and seems to be the most popular, what do you guys think?

All benches run at 1080p 1440p & 4K

Star Wars: Battlefront
Rise of the Tomb Raider (DX11)
Rise of the Tomb Raider (DX12)
Crysis 3
Hitman (DX11)
Hitman (DX12)
Far Cry 4
GTA V
Metro: Last Light
Witcher 3
Ashes of the Singularity (DX11)
Ashes of the Singularity (DX12)
Fire Strike Extreme.

Now admittedly 30 results would be a lot of work and even more so if you have to run some stuff twice (DX11 & DX12).. of all the reviews I watched they tend to only run 4 tests to get their base line and all include Fire Strike and Crysis 3, so if we were to choose say our top 5 which do you think should make our final list? Which tests would you be happy taking results from?

your list seems to cover the genres adequately, you could throw arma 3 in there but thats more cpu dependant.

Wouldn't throw in arma 3 at all, it's anything but optimized performance wise. For example, I can't get anything more than 35-40fps out of it with my rig.. It looks like it just doesn't want to use multiple cores no matter what the settings are set to.
