overclocking a set of XEON proc's? possible???

iv got a compaq mobo which sucks but i know u can use CPUFSB to overclock via the PLL or PPL whichever it is lol

wonder if they're good overclockers...

Most probably: no. The serverclass motherboards (which you have) are aimed at absolute stability, low power consumption and durability. Overclocking is a killer for both those three points

Yes plenty of people have overclocked Xeons. There is no reason why it wouldn't overclock. It is just like any other CPU.

Xeons are nice little processors that will overclock.

All you are risking is stability, low power and durability just as monkey7 said.

My asus pc-dl COULD NOT be overclocked as standard.

Look for details on wire modding your board, its basicaly shorting out some select pins on the cpu.

I went from 2.4 to 3.8ghz in the end
