OCZ are reportedly not far off with their take on phase cooling with the CRYO-Z. A worthy addition if it makes it to production, or money better spent elsewhere?

Thats crazy cheap if it actualy does what they claim. Im guessing alot of people on this forum will have one of these if thats the case.

That's crazyness, I wonder if they will be supplying insulation materials and instructions with it

Are you shtting me? $200 bucks? I just spent more than that upgrading my water to pelt... Typical. Just typical!!!

Looks like someone on here will have the opportunity to grab a bargain pelt set-up if/when this is released.

On the product itself - if they release this at this price they will completely dominate the sub zero cooling niche. No questions. Looks outstanding.

OCZ - hat's off to you.

Dam, there goes any hope of my future buisness.

Should be dam good. Im looking forward to the specs sheets:p

Yup, these will hopefully come soon, a great inexpensive phase solution. This is a chilly1 design, and the mounting system & evap is all chilly1 goodness. Can't wait to see some real performance benches and looks at how well it holds under load.

I seem to recall hearing that a large part of the delay in getting these units retail was the shipping details.

These are obviously going to be HUGELY popular, and shifting pallets of them is going to be a logistical nightmare. Also, they need to ensure that they are treated with TLC during shipping otherwise OCZ will have a huge number of RMA's on their hands.

Hmm, also its illegal to post pressurised containers here. Enless you pay through the nose or dont tell them i spose...

Be nice if it is only $200 (£101.57) :)

I bet by the time it comes to the UK it will be close to £200 tho :(

more info:

i'm being told the cryo-z is very quiet and does not vibrate as much as some vapochills *shrug* an x1900xtx is clearly audible over the unit

the final version will have safeguards built in

the VCore used was 1.72V

Load temps were -15C taken with CoreTemp while sp2004 was running

testing has halted at the moment because the mobo died, one of the small IC's near the PCI-e slots went pop (not killed by condensation)

i'll see if i can get some more screenies or something later :)

Now where can i get a coretemp that reads lower than 7oc. The latest version i've got seems to read 7oc even when the temps are in the negative.
