OCZ Power Supplies?

Hey Again Guys!

So I was watching one of Tom's reviews on the tower case labs case and he made a joke about it having room for 4 PSUs in case you went with OCZ because they break a lot. Personally I have a ZX series 850W OCZ and it works perfectly fine for me and seeing how cheap they are (in Canada considering they're 850W and 80+ Gold and fully modular for $125). So I was gonna build my friends rig with a ZX 850W but I was wondering that if OCZ is unreliable I would use something else.

I have an OCZ PSU too, it's served me fine so far... (touch wood) Had it for a few years now I think.

I've found their ram to be crap though however LOVED my OCZ Alchemy Elixir II keyboard which is now EOL

i love ocz psu's, mine has worked fine for 7 whole months...

i'm actually returning my modxstream pro today, if rms goes well, i don't see why not.

everything can break, just a matter of being lucky, i probably broke mine by trying to get to much power from it..

I know Tom doesn't like them but I have a friend who loves his and he's had his for a couple of years now. In fact, he's has that and an enermax one and it was the enermax that died in him... Maybe Tom has just been burnt by bad personal experience? Any PSU can break I guess, maybe he was unlucky and has only ever has OCZ ones break. But from what I've heard, they're a pretty decent company...

If I say they are dog shit its for a reason. Theyve knowly released SSD's before where they knew there would be a 40% faliure rate rather than fixing the firmware

The PSU's are cheap tat too.

ANything OCZ should be avoided........ Why would I say it otherwise.

I love your absolute hate for OCZ, it nearly matches my hate for Apple
