Saw this ad from OCUK about a week ago, was going to post it then, but never got round to it:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/LP/intel_ivye.php
First off, they're saying Ivy-E is '4th Gen'?
Then further down they say the 4960X is a '4 Core Desktop Processor'.
Tbh, I'm surprised as that's now been up over a week and no one's fixed it yet...
But, then I noticed a similar thing with Scan:
http://www.scan.co.uk/shops/intel/extreme
Again says '4th Gen'
In both sections, they talk about the 4820k, and the 4930k, even under the 'extreme' section. They don't mention the 4960x at all in the ad, even though there's a massive 'X' on the ad, and they also tick the box for '15MB cache'.
From reading that, it looks like Scan think the 4930k is the extreme version.
Just amusing how retailers can't seem to understand a product they're selling (even though the things they've got wrong were the same in Sandy-E too).
You'd have thought someone would have proof read these adverts.
