Just checking in to see if these numbers look good, going for a 24/7 OC.

Stock voltage

Core: 850

Shader: 1700

Memory: 1000

Idle: 25

Load: 59/60

Fan: Auto

Yup looks like a good overclock ,

nice you don't need any voltage over default...

Nice idle temp as well...

most i have pushed mine to is

voltage 1.05

Core: 930

Shader: 1860

Memory: 1055

not sure on temps, though i never let it go above 75

Fan: 70%

but normal oc i have

Stock voltage

Core: 880

Shader: 1760

Memory: 1050

Idle: 28

Load: 60s

Fan: 50%

I think Ill try pushing it to 875, I think it crapped out on me at 900.

Is that also on the default voltage ?

and what brand name GTX460 is it buddy ?

I have 3 GTX460's (soon to be 5x) ,

1x Palit 1024Mb 900Mhz.

1x Palit 768Mb 875Mhz.

1x EVGA 768Mb 875Mhz .

All at Voltage 1087...

default coolers...

All F@H stable....

Yeah it died on me last night with a OC core of 900 on stock voltage.

MSI Hawk.

Edit: 875 no problems.

Edit 2: nvm, I forgot to hit apply, does not like 875 with the current voltage and the memory at 1000.

How much should I bump the voltage?

put the mem to 2100

stock volt asus 1gbs will do 880/1760/2100 at stock volts

32c

65c

auto fan

25c

53c

60% fan speed

Got to mem to 2100, no problems.

Going to have to boost the voltage if I want to increase the core clock.

hey,

i used read this thread before i oc'd mine, currently at:

stock voltage (afterburner says 950 is i unlock, i assume that millivolts)

875 on the core and 2201 on the memory, can't put it on exactly 2.2k

edit: thats at 50°c with my gigabyte oc2 1gb gtx 460 not very quiet tho...

update:

now at:

stock volts

core: 893

shader: 1786

mem: 2201

temp: 62°c max

ill further edit when i'm done with testing on crysis (just an excuse, i need some gaming)

another edit: crysis on gamer setting 1080p : min 24 during bombing, 37 avg. vantage : 13102P

to bad my cpu is so crappy or i would get way more

give it 1.062mv that will make sure your chip has enough power as stock volts at them clocks is pushing it.

i'm not going to change the volts, i just wanted a basic overclock to get better performance but without any risks, i already ruined my cpu overclocking and i'm gonna be more careful now, also i don't need any higher fps and my ruined cpu is bottle necking it already

how is your ruined cpu ruined if its working? lol... dont be scared man u cant go the rest of your days without overclocking....thats just mad!

900/1125 on 1.087v gives me about the best performance but if i drop the ram i can up the core.

its a gigabyte oc 1gb.

Got mine running at

Core 1Ghz XD

Memory 2050MHz

Voltage 1.067V

Max load temp: ~60°c

Wins so hard, max out anything with great frame rate @ 1980x1080 res, take that Gtx570

nice......

three cheers for the greatest gpu of all time

the allmighty GF 104/114

now if only we could get nvidia to agree to tri-sli it.....

imagine the possibilities

i have the asus direct cu 1gb version and with no voltage increase i can only reach around 820mhz on the core that seems low compared to what some of u guys r getting but i normally run it at 900mhz 1.037v 27/7 stable 50c and i can get it up to 960mhz 1.100v 58c with is stable in everything but bf3 and i know that with a little more voltage say 1.125-1.150v i could get it up to 1ghz but i already dont like running it at 1.1v can any one tell me what is safe 27/7 voltage on these chips?
