Hi Guys. Been away on multiple excursions. I've missed my PC and this Forum. I'm here to stay now!

I'm new to the team, I fold when I'm not playing games, even fold when I'm watching a film and such, so I'm progressing. Only use the 560 ti not been able to get the viewer to work but have read it makes temps go right up if you do use it. Currently in the process of upgrading my PC just need to get a new 1155 chip, unsure if a i7 26/700k is worth the extra expense over say an i5 2500k. So any advice there would be good, plan on getting a 2nd 560 ti at a later date. I'm really looking forward to my upgrade when it's all here, Q6600 is showing it's age it's been doing so for the last year or more, games are becoming a bigger demand on my PC especially with my new monitor 1920x1080 is pushing my machine to it's limits. So the upgrade is very much needed

As for the CPU. The 26/700k mostly isn't worth it for gaming, but if you're wanting to get your teeth stuck into folding, the extra points per day the the i7 gets over the i5 is more than worth it.

Folding is the exact reason I got a 2600k over anything else.

Looks like I will be getting a i5 2500k I'm a gamer really, and I fold on my 560 ti, although by the time I have the cash the ivy bridge chips will be out, read that they will work on 1155 mobo's, mines a MSI P67A GD53 (B3) was a good buy, since it has SLI and CFX support. Thinking I will at least wait and see when the ivy bridge chips are out and compare prices or price drops and see if my mobo has a bios update and such for them before committing to one or the other chip. If the 2500k comes down in price by April time when they are released I think it would be the best option for me. Looking to get a Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced Case my current one is rather old and I don't have a need for the USB 3.0 version since my mobo doesn't support front panel usb 3.0 only on board, plus I have no usb 3.0 devices.

Thank you for welcoming me into the team and the advice on the chip
