I miss the option: 'I can't wait for Haswell because my old rig blew up and I need a computer for school within a few days.'

I just went for a sandybridge as I think haswell will be expensive :(

Seems like components in general are going up in price at the moment
I will be keeping an eye on how it performs but I don't really think I'll be needing to upgrade my cpu for a while now.

I think the current gen 1155 is so good at what it does that other than for benching or folding, or other very intensive crunching its not worth the upgrade. I think most people upgrade because their current rig can't play the games they want - but this current generation can play anything that these console ports can throw at it.

i dont see how it will be any improvement over my z68-2500k system. this handles everything i could possibly want to do with ease, i would however like to rebuild out of my shinobi into a case with some decent dust filtration!

I have only just upgraded to Sandy Bridge E so I won't be going for Haswell but I will be upgrading my dad's pc next, year so I will see what IB-E or HW-E is like and will go for one of them.

If I was still on my 2700K then I would have upgraded to Haswell though.

is money allows over this summer, a 4770k and a new board will be coming in to replace my 2500k system, my dad has been bugging me for a new computer, so i will proberly give him my old 2500k to replace his 3 core amd phenom and i will has new haswell =D

Will probably be getting a 4770k as I already have a friend of mine who's going to buy my old 2600k and my asus maximus IV extreme board.

Just wondering what mobo I will be ending up with, most probably an Asus Maximus series board, but I can't deny that I won't end up with an MSI board if they happen to be smexxxy looking.

So yeah, looking forward to Haswell =)

I'm considering upgrading to a 4770k and Mpower combo if i can accumulate funds. Will probably give my current 2500k system to my parents or brother as they're in need of an upgrade!

My main goal is to upgrade to a half decent MoBo this time round. Whilst the Gigabyte Z68-UD3PXP has served me fine, I was pretty disappointed with the clock i was able to achieve

Obviously I would like to but the fact is I simply can't afford it.

Having benchmarked my Xeon in games I took close note that at 3.5ghz it performed miles better than the stock 3.2. Thus if I can squeeze 3900/4000 out of it I will be more than happy to just leave it be.

Otherwise? well I will most likely save up for a 8 core Piledriver and take my PS4 chances.

I'll likely be waiting a few more weeks for the Haswell i3's.

You'll be waiting longer than a few weeks.

When Sandy launched it was months before any of the lower end CPUs came out. Was all about the 2500 and 2600 at launch.

Then you're going to be in for the extortionate pricing on launch motherboards and the lack of cheap lower end models.

The poll will close in around 18 hours. If you haven't already voted, please do so!

Edit: actually, no. This shall keep open.

I see. Then, no Haswell for me, Ivy it is :p
Still I'll be waiting a few more weeks, need a little more cash.

I was going to wait for Ivy-E but most likely will go for Haswell 4770K.
I'm still happy with my 2600K, but I never really had a processor for longer than 2years, so its good time for an upgrade. I'll wait till we will get some motherboards tested and than I will make a decision which one to get.

Yes I will change to Haswell

Not really happy with my pre-build system I got at the moment so I will try to replace everything with new generation products wich will include Haswell CPU

I was going to make the switch to Intel with Haswell but honestly haven't been impressed by the teasers that Ive seen so far. At least not enough to dump my Sabertooth and go with an all new platform. Ill still reserve final judgment til the official reviews come out but Im thinking Im gonna stick with AMD for a while longer especially considering Steamroller will be AM3+ and it looks like the newer games are becoming more and more AMD friendly. Besides, with all the great talent AMD picked up over the last year, Ive got a good feeling about Team Red!
