IF i even upgrade to haswell so far it would be MSI/Gigabyte(voted Gigabyte) for the board: price, features,OC'ing potential, and reliability are the main focus points for me. Looks are another focus but the above is more important. Asus boards are just ugly IMO and just have always been nervous considering them.

i love msi and asus but defo this time round it if i ever do get the funds for a haswell rig ill go gigabyte.

im all about price to performance ratio and basicly gigabyte have that in the bag as thats what tom was "hinting at" in his haswell mobo preview vids :D

If I was to upgrade it would be Asus, I've always gone with them and never had problems

i already voted for MSI, but it seems like they won't have a decent z87 board fitting my blue color scheme. so far i have only seen one blue board by gigabyte, which is low end, so no option and some boards by Biostar. not sure if those boards will be any good.

From what I have heard, Biostar is like ASRock; They make mid-level boards for entry-level prices. Not the best boards in the world, but it works and you'll always have your warranty. Honestly, I don't think there's an awful lot that could go wrong

Intel has at least 1 z87 board with a blue colour scheme.

im going with Gigabyte, not only do the boards look nice, but the bios screenshots ive seen allow for tweaker delight!

not to mention i got some pretty awesome ideas for a new build :D

If I do make the jump to Haswell,( probably won't though) I'd most likely go with that Gigabyte Z87 X OC board that Tom did on youtube or just stick with MSI.
It's really too early to tell until we see some performance reviews.
But my vote went to Gigabyte.

didn't intel quit making motherboards or something? will take a look at them, even though i heard intel never made any better than decent mainboards.

They did but they will stop after Haswell. Rumor is after Haswell all Future cpus will be soldered onto boards:(

With the 350D out which has 5 expension slots, and the fact that both the Asus and Gigabite m-ATX boards (m5 and Gryphon) have a PCI-E 16x slot at the bottom this is the first time that you can run SLI AND a dedicated sound card, which makes it pretty temping to go m-ATX.

I'll probably go 350D + Gryphon/ M5 or Arc Midi R2 + Sabertooth

I've not voted :)

Was going to vote asus but then I looked at the z87 pro+deluxe boards and saw they look horrid

Not sure who's idea it was to use that gold colour  the sabertooth looks as ugly as ever aswell

The maximus boards still look nice tho :)

Not sure why ASRock are sticking with their fatality branding either :(

MSI + Gigabyte probably look the best so far.

Have been very unhappy with MSI boards recently, and decided to try an ASRock for the first time. Then another, and another, etc. So recently I've built one ASRock i3 ITX system, two i3 mATX desktops, an i7 3770K mATX, and an AMD AM3+, all ASRock, and all easy builds, although only the 3770K has any OC.

Sabertooth looks good for Haswell i7, but I'm liking the ASRock UEFI and quality. And between being tired of Red/Black and all my Noctua fans, no more ROG boards for me. (Although I am very happy with my OC Gene.)

The ASRock Z87 Extreme6 for $170USD is looking promising vs. the Sabertooth Z87 for $250.

Would be nice to see Tiny Tom Logan's take on it though. The low-end ASRock of 2008 seems long dead now.

I went for MSI - they offer a few good layouts I think and aren't as expensive as ASUS. And after my debacle with that 660 Ti I don't trust gigabyte one bit anymore.
But I don't understand why Asrock is so low in the ranking - I mean they are well priced and well featured. What's wrong with them?

I've always loved Gigabyte Boards! My first board was the Z87X-OC and I've just upgraded to the Z97X-SOC Force :)

Both of these boards have been perfect, great performance, stability and... I love the colour! Black and Orange are awesome
