OC3D Meet Up and Bench Session.

Right. Since the MSI event is over, and a few of us have expressed an interest in a 24hr bench session, I thought we should get the plans sorted.

We need to plan it in advance so we know people will be able to make the date we set.

First things first, the part of the Country. Im in South Wales (Tom's old stomping ground) and given most of the regular benchers I believe are up north I think it would be easier for me to not only tip toe across the boarder, but I will venture up to you guys.

Tom said Ln2 and Dice are a must, and he also mentioned i3 benching.

I know we will need a reasonable sized room as well as good internet for a live stream. But we should set our sights on a a city before we look for the venue

Question: What time of the week is best for everyone?

Just thought I would get the ball rolling guys, as I'm really up for this!

Ian, do you really think we would run a 24hr stable rig at those volts XD

We bench and push stupid volts though things (hoping not to kill them RIP X58 mobo) and then never touch them again. It's odd to say my main rig isn't even overclocked

As for the meet up, I might have some problems making next month, as I'm currently in the process of revising for third year exams in uni which kick off mid May. And seeing as I'm catching Eddie up I'm not missing a bench session!

i only OC my main rig if i am benching something like a new component, rest of the time i am at stock

deffo need to get this sorted though

overclocking on LGA 1156 is fun and rather easy to do, should be a good laugh as well

I had a nice session with SB the other day. It got me some lovely GPU points. It's gone now though

I need to start chilling my kit though as I have almost reached the HW max points on the bot so need some global points. God only knows what the 1st of May will bring with the new HWbot.
