OC3D down last night.

It seems like whenever we publish an exclusive review (nia, GTX 280) the OC3D server seems to go down

However, when it went down last night, I took a trip up to London (sigh) and finally managed to get to the bottom of the problem. The PSU was dead!

Luckily I there was a spare 350w PSU nearby, and despite having to use a 20-24Pin convertor, a 4-8Pin converter and a molex-sata converter to get everything up and running, it actually seems to be OK at the moment!

needless to day I'll be replacing the PSU with something a bit more robust and powerful shortly :s

It's all those people hungry for tech food, breaking the server :P You got it working again pretty quick Jim, well done!

hehe I missed the site tbh. Kinda knew something was wrong.

lol, you knew when you realized the site wouldn't open. :)

Well done Jim.. again!

Would give you about 6 hrs grace surely, enough to have dinner at home then sneak out once the missus is asleep and be back in bed before she wakes.

Got a black balaklava and a box of milk tray if you need it . hope some one knows which advert I am on about. lol

Haha.. you've gotta be careful, the forum does have the temperament of a woman. Next time you decide not to visit for a while, you'll find all your best suits outside the front of your house shredded into tiny pieces.
