This was requested in purchase thread so why not! Not a very involved one, but anyhow.

Starting point:

Start of tear-down:

Old motherboard out:

New stuff:

This BIOS flashback was quite frightening - but worked!

Mass storage in:

Not much in the way of clearance, but as long as there's some!

Old vs new:

It posts!

Fan in, this was quite a wrestle. Top fan had no clearance to spin anymore, PSU 24pin didn't reach... so I just detached the PSU and it just lies there further towards the front.

All components in!

Not a terrible upgrade in terms of CPU oomph - Time spy comparison. Also the first IMC I have which boots fine with XMP, and seems in fact stable. But I'll tweak it further later. Memory tab:

Well, with the Noctua in place, absolutely no room for them.

So I hope I don't need them.

You should be fine. I mean even if you weren't it would throttle, so you can't damage them (unlike my old Phenom Asrock board lol).

It says it supports the 12900K, so it should be able to handle that easy with modest clocks and voltage.

Yeah and the gaming figures are outright reasonable:
Edit: sorry, missing columns. Current / Min / Max / AVG
