OC3D Crypto-currency Mining Pool?

Gambling = Not a good idea.

Lost 2 BTC on satoshidice some time ago. Just don't ;)

Ouch, i found out a formula though and it hasn't failed me, once i get to 100 feathercoins or if they change their script ill stop, i emptied 1 website that bets on horse things already

Well, I just finished ordering all parts for my temporary mining rig including:
Corsair RM 450 (will later be replaced by 2 RM1000s),
Asrock H81 Pro BTC,
Corsair Dominator @ 1600,
Intel Celeron G1820,
3x MSI GTX 750Ti Twin Frozr (will later be replaced either by dedicated Nvidia miners or GTX 880s),
Openrigs Vitalia Case,
7" Touchscreen

Isn't yet assembled... Can't wait to put everything together ^_^

Ohh, an Nvidia based miner.

Please post a build log for your miner, and keep up posted with how it goes :).

Can you coach me in PM a little how to do a build log? Unfortunately I have a really bad camera and I don't want it to be a shitty build log ;)

Edit: Nvm, I just scored a DSLR

Edit2: I could still use some help in finding out how to correctly do a buildlog, tho ;)

There is a nice we guide here in the project logs section.

That being said keep to your own personal writing style, write as much or as little as you'd like. Just so long as you convey all the required info, specs etc.

Nvidia mining rigs are very rare/ nonexistent , given Maxwell has only now really now put them into the game.

Thank you very much.

Can't wait to have 6 GTX 880s on there ;)

Yeah i'd also be really interested to see how this works out for you :D
I'm on Cudaminer with my 780. be good to see how maxwell does.

Indeed, hence why I insist on seeing a build log, a very interesting project.

Slight problem: The GPU Frame (PC Case) I ordered from South Africa, so it might take quite a while to arrive here, may take another week or two and until then I plan on using a shoe-shelf to hang my cards into, which won't be very pretty...

I'm also lending one of the 3 cards to a friend so he can make a review video for YouTube, so the initial build will contain only 2 cards.

Does this negatively impact a build-log if I'm building a half-finished rig?

Also another thing: Is this foam which is usually below the motherboard in a motherboard packaging non-conductive in general (or does it vary from time to time)?

I don't think it would be a problem to start the build log with a picture of the ghetto-ness of the rig, i think it would actually look quite cool to see different ways of having mining rigs out of a case.

If you don't mind my asking, how much was the whole rig, I didn't see you posted it anywhere.

Hmm, I don't know actually... I just spent some of the money I had left in my bank account, let me calculate this in a nice excel sheet, I'll come back to you with results in about 20 minutes or so ;)
edit: make that 30

Edit 2:

OK, I paid roughly 1000€, Excel spits out this value: 965,32€. I included shipping costs on some products (like the Openrigs case which had 93€ shipping costs)

I am re-using my old RAM and my old SSD to save some money.

The launch was kind of bad and the exchange doesn't yet handle the coin.
I'm really disappointed that I couldn't solo-mine in the beginning, cgminer just didn't accept the rpc parameters... >_<

I meant that the exchange had been confirmed :p, and yes, it was quite a bad launch but not as bad as max as far as I know. Also I'm struggling to get the wallet to work :(.

I'm on about 15 but look at the exchange! Its rising and I think it might get to MAX prices soon.

BTW, have you got the wallet working? I cant seem to get it to search for the blocks.

I just downloaded it and it worked without any issues at all... Very strange...

I downloaded the Windows (custom) file and its opened a command prompt and seems to be finding the blocks that I need so I think it may have worked now, I might try deleting the wallet if I have to but I'd rather not as all of my HXC is on there and I don't really want to waste it.

Hopefully the coin is even more successful in the coming days and weeks so I can finally get back to my plans of watercooling, or then again I might sell my current cards and get a 290 :p.

Wait, you found blocks? How many? 1 Block = 151 HCX and 1 HCX = 0.00035 BTC and the exchange rate is going up up up, as you said

Edit: Ohhh, you mean syncing to the blockchain... my bad :D
