Ive just put in my DFI and decided to set up the bios, i can change everything in every section with no problems but as soon as i alter anything in the clock speed section, after post i get a screen reading 'NVIDIA RAID IDE ROM BIOS V4.XX DETECTING ARRAY.........' ive been through the bios and disabled everything i can find that even relates to SATA not just RAID and i still cant sort it :/ any ideas?

Wirelessly posted (LG Fusic: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/2.0.4719/1378; en; U; ssr))

is it effecting anything?

In the sense that i cant get into windows yes lol. It just sits there 'detecting' for as long as i left it (like 30 minutes)

That used to happen to me on my MSI when my PC was EXTREMELY unstable when testing OC's & Voltages, timings, etc.

Try toning it down a bit, upping a voltage, etc. Did u make sure your HTT mutliplier was at 4x (250MHz HTT or less) or 3x (333MHz HTT or less)?

a quick search of the dfi forums suggests that this means the computer is totally unstable...

i assume you have only been overclocking minimally tho?

hmm it looks like memory, ive just dropped my tRAS down to 8 and lowered the speed, command rates all that jazz. running at 2.5 @ 1.425 volts. HTT sitting 1.8 MHz over 1k but i think i shall leave that lol. Gonna do some stability tests and then up the CPU a bit with these mem settings

Edit:

2.5GHz

Core1: Started F@H 1, SPi 1m, SPi 1m, SPi 8m

Core2: Started F@H 2, SPi 1m, SPi 1m, SPi 8m

both cores done simultaneously ofcourse :)

not a single error and all my normal apps ran fine with all that going ...... on to 2.6!

back at 2.6 now anyway, memory is letting me down though. if anyone finds any decent 1GB / 2GB PC4000 kits at a sensible price please let me know, they cost a bomb atm .......

Just use a memory divider, that would show high far you could push your CPU.

i know, i just dont want to. the problem is that the memory is slow full stop, not that i cant run it 1:1
