I've been searching google for results but get a mixed bag, Just ordered a GPU straight from Nvidia and it says 1-3 days, what's everyone else' experience with delivery with Nvidia ?
UPS IIRC. Very quick too. The guy I bought from got his next day. They're in Ireland, IIRC (they would be the tax dodging b-stards)
I've read some horror stories about that Digital River company that Nvidia use, Little nervous ^_^
Wicked. At some point it will need water, though. I'm about to make something pretty cool as it goes.. Last night I realised you can assemble a stripped cooler, back plate and all, without the need for the card. So I am going to make something like a display box with a 1080Ti and Titan XP in. I am even going to light the Geforce LEDs
Will then slap a RGB strip in with a remote. Something to do eh?
Very cool, I'm going to put an AIO on mine at some point but keep the shroud largely intact![]()
Will have to be an EVGA I think. Or you need to machine out the bottom plate. That is why I have the 1080Ti cooler because I was going to get it machined so I could fit any AIO. Or you have to use a shim and the temps are crappy.
I'd only gain around 5FPS with an AIO so it may not be worth it, Fan noise doesn't bother me anyway ^_^
haha nope. Going water will get you a solid boost of up to 2100. It makes a whacking great difference to 4k, trust me on that. More like 15%. On air cooler I was lucky to get 1900 solid boost. Especially if the GPU core was loaded up heavy, like over 80%.
Just one problem man. They've been sold out for about a year. And they are horrifically expensive

You're looking at 180 euro or more. And they are pants. You will notice on the FTW card they did this?
Well under that large non blower fan is a massive silver VRM sink.
TBH mate I would be very ready to "dip your toes" with proper water. There's no danger or risks if you do it properly (Dr Drop etc).
I'll check out EK's new line up then, Looks like good value for money, Will opt for a 240mm rad![]()
Yeah seriously man do that. The worst part IMO is the fittings. Once you have found 12 or so at a decent price half of the battle is over.
I will help you out as much as I can. Remember, you will either need a spare PSU or disconnect everything in the rig. The art is to be safe. IE - every time you put on a fitting connect up the Dr Drop and make sure it's not leaking air. Then you run the loop dormant without anything actually switched on (just the pump) and then leave it leak testing for a good few hours at least with some paper towels under each fitting so you can see if they are leaking.
If you follow the proper procedure it really isn't risky or dangerous at all. Anything Nvidia make at the high end now needs water. TBH? it's been like that since the Titan XM. You lose quite a chunk on air.
Appreciated
I actually had the Titan XM fitted with an AIO, Did pretty well ^_^

I'm not impressed.
They claim that 1080ti is still purchasable but out of stock on their website. They redirect me to some norwegian etailers all of which no longer sell reference cards.
Customer Support from Nvidia now state that it is not possible to purchase a 1080ti reference now, except those that are remaining in circulation on the global market.
Wish they would make it clear that its not possible to obtain anymore.
ordered the titan and get told expect up to 60 days for delivery. Cancelled the order. Not waiting that long

On the site it clearly says the 1080 Ti is out of stock so can't see a problem with misunderstanding that.
Which Titan did you order ?
