For now only Strix OC has 400W TBP, but dual slot connectors. That is probably my last resort option. I don't want to pay ASUS tax.

MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio has single slot outputs, and they mentioned in the description: "This legendary item has extra power unlocked through the Custom PCB." And it is affordable for 3080. So i hold fingers crossed for this one.

Tnx. There are a few contenders. But unlocked TBP has priority over single slot. Waiting for reviews. There is still time until Cyberpunk. ;)

I wouldn't go for EK. Watercool, Aquacomputer, or Bitspower. Even Bykski or Barrow before EK and Corsair. Those two fell hard. And ofc. Hardware Labs radiators. But water is due for early 2021.

Just be sure to avoid the cards with analogue caps. Most of them won't even get blocks (like the KFA2 stuff). As I found out to my utter dismay with my KFA2 2070S.

Yea I would by that from EK. It is extremely hard to botch a bent metal plate, but I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow cheap out on that.

unlike their other products this was a good quality plate. Obviously only compatible with reference cards, but my god it made things better. I used them in my 1000D build before I changed it.

Thanks for this! Looks like ill need the PG132 for the Zotax trinity. Although im basing everything on a comment from my local store at the moment. They claim its a reference design.

And I was skeptical since it has 2 8pin plugs where as the founder ed was different. It makes sense now based on your info.

I think, for the first time Reference (RE) and Founders (FE) editions are not the same.

Every manufacturer has the list of cards supported by blocks. It is the best to check there before purchase.

Yeah apparently the FE has a V shape in the PCB and the AIB should be all reference "well the ones that are for about £650 for the 3080. No doubt there will be custom PCB's but they will be MSI lightning for example". I have contacted Zotac but no reply yet as thats the one i'm after. Bonus is they have a UK rma service :)

Having RMA in your country is epic. Sadly, in mine only retailers do RMA and they are not official partners.
 
There are now rumours that Asus and co are going to make their own double VRAM cards at some point next year.

I don't know how is that possible. You can't just solder more RAM to the GPU. If it is disabled on the die that is it.
