You may want to go watch Digital Foundries overview video as they have an actual 3080 to test, The 3080 is showing to be around 80% faster than a 2080, In some cases 100%, So that would be roughly around 40-50% faster than a 2080 Ti, You have to remember this is a proper generational performance improvement that we were used to getting every gen, Kepler>Maxwell>Pascal and with the 2080 we saw a generational performance improvement that was genuinely not worth it and very disappointing.
This is the first time since the 1000 series launch that we have gone back to getting real generational leaps in performance.
Until the reviews come out you could well have fallen for a load of BS.
Borderlands 3 runs like crap. That was never a secret. It's why I got it on Xbox.
The rest? smoke and mirrors.
He clearly states these are chosen tests by Nvidia, and could not show you the actual performance. Which, given the 2080s performance in Borderlands doesn't come as a shock.

See? abysmal. Pray tell, why would any one want to spend tons of money on a game that is a year old? I finished it 10 months ago, and that was taking it slowly.
Look, I am not saying these cards are going to be fast. However, let's use a game that actually looked as good as it was yeah?

Noting, with DLSS on it has an average of 60 odd FPS. Which the last time I checked was more than good enough for any one.
It just amazes me how much crap Jen can talk, and people all fall for it.
The only game this year you may need one of these for is Cyberpunk. COD BLOPS Cold War will no doubt use exactly the same engine and methods as MW. Which already flies along on a modest rig.
