What gets me is that if they knew it had heat issues why bloody release/announce it in the first place!?! They know 3rd parties are going to want to stick their own coolers on it's inevitable, seriously it's not like nVidia are new to this game. AMD cocked it up with the reference R9 290x I never thought nVidia would especially with a flagship model.
I think NVidia were counting on AMD messing up even more as two Hawaii chips are even more difficult to keep cool on air, unfortunately AMD did not follow the plan and came up with that AIO cooler that at least allows the 295X2 to run well at stock.
