NVIDIA GeForce Kepler Roadmap Compiled

Also, Nvidia have had delays with manufacturing of their 28mn GPU's they were using Global Foundries but have now switched to TSMC, so that is another reason the releases are so far apart it doesn't have anything with Nvidia taking the time it's because they have lost time.

At the end of the day tough AMD and Nvidia both make good cards, AMD have lost on the last two releases but before that it was AMD in front and Nvidia was behind. The only reason not to buy AMD now is because of heat and noise, performance wise low to mid range cards AMD have the edge, high end Nvidia have the edge but the 6950 still gives the 570 a run for it's money especially with 2gb of Vram.

It's pointless favoring one over the other because at one point one one will be better than the other and then at some point it will be the other way around, just go with the one that offers the best card for the least amount of money.

Cryengine 3, that's where Keplar will strive I think, have you seen SNIPER Ghost Warrior 2 screen shots? It uses Cryengine 3 and looks phwoar! I wonder if some aren't in-game, instead pretty art work and because it might be made for console too it might dissapoint. Shame Crysis 2 physics is too limited

as said the fab issue have cost nv this round but i read ms aint in a rush for dx12 and its wont be in win8 at launch anyway so any delay for them might be a blessing in disguise.

that being said i wouldnt be shocked if nv put out safe release dates so they dont get the bad press that surrounded fermis late launch.

I just found this.

As usual these are just assumptions, nothing sure.

No one look at that and think the specs for the gk110 and the gk112 are the wrong way around.......

Exactly what i was thinking.

except it has 512 bit not 384x2 buss

maybe!?!

Gk110 something like the 590 ie 2x 580

but the gk112, me thinks it'll be a direct counter to the 7970, itll be the best single gpu on the market and will have xdr2 !?! hopefully...

well it has to, to keep in touch with amd's flaunting.

keep your fingers crossed!!!

I never noticed but I was looking at the release dates more than anything, Nvidia hasn't confirmed the specs and there are no samples of the cards out yet so I just ignored the specs.

I doubt it will have XDR2 because XDR2 is more expensive than GDDR which means they would have to charge a lot more and if it did beat the 7970 on performance, which if it does, it's not going to be by a massive amount, so the 7970 would still be the better card for the money.

They need to out perform the 7970 but still make it competitively priced, so that puts using XDR2 out the window. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with though.

true or the gk112 will be priced at like 800$ but it's performance will be like 180% of the 7970 XD

The gk110 will be the direct competition of the 7970 which should be priced around £300-£350 if Nvdia made the gk110 with a 180% performance increase and priced it £800 that would make no sense.

Whatever the gk110 is performance wise it won't be that much more than a 7970, they can only achieve a certain amount of a performance increase each generation. 180% is just not possible, the 7970 is rumored to have up to a 60% performance increase over the 6970 based off the specs, so if true the gk110 will be around the same, either slightly more or slightly less.

The gk112 will be a dual GPU card with two gk110 GPUs and up to a 100% performance increase over a gk110. But don't forget AMD will also respond with the 7990 which is their gk112 equivalent

I can't wait to see who comes out on top, it's going to be an interesting few months next year when these cards go head to head

There's clearly a time for the release of AMD's GPU but what about Nvidia? They plan to distribute their GTX at once or start with the entry-level models?

Not to sure how legit that slide is, Nvidia haven't even got any sample cards out yet, they haven't released any info on specs and that card is 6 months away which is far to early for any kind of reliable info. It's also a bit strange how it has appeared a week before the launch of the AMD 7900 series.
