i was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem i have, my pc just randomly shuts down, theres no BSOD and my temps are fine, i did read that there was apparently a windows 7 update that was dodgy.

any help would be good thanks :)

More info needed mate, rig specs, what you are doing, if anything when it shuts down. Add as much info as you can.

im not doing anything, could just be browsing the internet, or listening to music, and it just shuts down reboots and thats about it.

Need more details dude or you are going to have to do some fault finding. Without more info we will just be stabbing in the dark.

okay, well ive checked my temps. there normal.
it normally shuts down and reboots once, then 20 mins again after that, then itll be fine for hours and randomly do it again.
ive checked everything i can/know how too.

i5 2500k
1000watt corsair PSU
corsair 8gb plat mem,
asus sabertooth mobo
nvidia 570

Check for a loose connection - other than that its all going to be guess work without BSOD or being able to swap parts out to test.

Is there an antisurg option in the bios? There has been a few reports of something similar to this happening on ASUS boards and disabling this stopped it. There is the possibility that the power supply could be bad, and in turning that off, you could harm your mobo.

hey there,

please try running directly off the iGPU and remove the 570, and as said before check for any loose connections, better yet, unplug everything inspect the pins then plug them back in.
