Normal Tactic - B Tactics in Detail

Our normal tactic normally goes very smoothly, however when me an XMS go to B, after a few rounds we become very predictable and end up getting badly beaten. So we had a chat on MSN about some possible tactics, and I wrote them up into this document, so everybody can know what we are doing and also maybe encourage the rest of you to do the same sort of thing for your positions. As you will see it involves large amounts of teamwork and you really need to know exactly what your role is.

Normal Tactic – B Tactics in Detail

This document will outline some advanced tactics in order for just two guys to get into B bomb site and control it. It involves good teamwork and communication and also timing with each other and the rest of the team. Firstly, define a ‘left’ guy and ‘right’ guy. They will have different roles to play.

1. Rush

This will outline the best method to rush in through the tunnels and take control of the bomb site. This tactic is not recommended if one of you has the bomb, as it is risky. Both guys smoke just outside the tunnels and allow the smoke to grow. On smoking, try to see if there is an awp’er behind the boxes opposite tunnels.

If there is: The left guy initially focuses on taking out the awp’er using grenades and flashes. As he does this the right guy focuses on any enemies on the right hand side of the site. These include the alcove and boxes below, behind the car and double doors. Once the left guy has taken down the awp’er, he helps out the right guy with any remaining enemies.

If there is nobody behind boxes: Then both guys stick together, the left guy flashes over boxes below alcove and the right guy flashes out to the right of the site. The guys stick together, focusing on the alcove and double doors first. If this clear then they both take out the enemy behind the car.

It is not unusual for this tactic to leave one guy dead; it can also be made to look like a full B rush so the important thing is that the other members of your team are left with a free path to A and at least some dead enemies.

2. Smoke ‘n’ Hide

This is best done if one of the terrorists has the bomb. Both guys smoke B just outside the tunnel. They then hide behind the boxes in tunnels for approx 30/40 seconds. Left guy is behind boxes opposite the stairs (left as you enter from T spawn) and Right guy is behind boxes at the top of stairs by the barrels. Both stay very quiet, listening for an enemy to approach. If an enemy does approach, they will definitely end up in the middle of both guys, with no chance. After the 30/40 seconds is up, both guys get into the site, taking down any remaining enemies in the method specified in the rush tactic. The bomb is planted and the rest of the team back up.

2. Flash ‘n’ Dash

This is another risky tactic but if pulled off correctly then you have a great position with which to take down the enemy with. Left guy smokes as normal just in front of the doors and right guy smokes slightly to the right of that. Both guys then flash out as normal when the smoke grows and quickly run straight through the double doors, engaging as little as possible. Once you are outside of the bomb site you have a couple of options. Either keep retreating down to middle, or turn around and engage the enemy from a better position.

4. Smoke ‘n’ Stairs

This is possible when you have the bomb, however it must also be done very quickly. Run from T Spawn down to tunnels, smoke B and then quickly proceed down the stairs towards middle. Go through double doors, take out the enemies’ guy at middle if he is there, and then work your way up to B, trying to kill as many as possible and then planting if you have the bomb. Also, you can adapt this tactic to a full soul train, or a half soul train (go up short not long). This is best if your team tell you that A is clear or if they are planting A.
