Noobie (probably) question involving ubuntu

Hi all, I was just wondering if there was a way to install the drivers for my Asus Sabertooth z77 motherboard on Ubuntu, as there are no drivers (as far as i can see) for Linux on the official Asus website. If this isnt possible, can anybody recommend me a decent CPU Overclocking program that will work on Ubuntu (as this is the main reason i require the drivers, as apparently Asus AIsuite is included with the software). Thanks for the help in advanced

A decent overclock is done in the bios, not via software

But no mate, if Asus didn't make them for Ubuntu, then they don't exist. I personally wouldn't trust third party software messing with my hardware

Yeah i thought so :L could you recommend me a decent oc tutorial for the 3770k on my mobo, because id rather no start messing around with my hardware before i really know what im doing thanks for the help

I would say no even to the best overclocking software on ubuntu, windows etc. etc. BIOS BIOS BIOS!

Overclocking is just trying stuff out tbh. Takes some trial and error (hopefully not the type of error that destroys your CPU though). It's not all that hard, just make sure you have a decent cooler and don't overclock too far in one go!

If you are uncertain, you can buy extra warranty for your Intel CPUs. It costs you $25 but this also covers overclocking damage. You'll just get a free new chip:
