Hi guys looking for a bit of help,

I have an EK watercooling kit which is basically a CPU only loop, Im upgrading to include the GPU in the loop. Ive upgraded the pump so I now have the rads, pump/reservoir combo and the gpu block.

Im finding it difficult picking out the tubing and fittings, I want to stick with compression fittings for a clean look and I think I want 1/2 inch tubing, what size compression fittings do I need to buy?

thanks

welcome to the forum,
im assuming you mean you want the 1/2" (ID) inner diameter hose?
depending on the hose whether the outer diameter (OD) is 5/8" or 3/4" will determine
the compression fitting size. you'll know one part the 1/2", but the last part X/X" will
depend on your hose selection.
as to the "clean" look, a simple barb fitting is clean, fits in tight situations and is priced better.

i just installed my cpu loop. i did not use compression fittings, jubilee clips or hose clamps. i used 1/2" barbs and 7/16" id clear tubing. very tight fit on the barb used a hairdryer to warm the end of the hose to make it more plyable pushed it onto the barb the tubing cools and shrinks onto the fitting making a tight seal.
looks really clean and not a hint of leaking.

you really don't have to clamp the hose on 7/16" hose/barb combo. it'll have a massive
seal, plus the clamp can detract from the "look".
congrats p1ngman on your loop. set up a build log and snap some pix for the forum.
