I forgot to update the ram to 1854 in that last stage 5 post.

So in the future when I give this rig to my other half and daughter and build a later setup for myself - I should look for better overclockable ram then.. at least I'm learning, which is good fun.. Cheers Tom and all.

You just need Ram with a higher speed dude, its all about speed and the dividers available. By changing the divider now at 180 it will drop back below 1600 on the ram again (1400 something iirc) and its really not worth it in your hot climate anyways as when you increase the BCLK again it will need more volts eventually and thus more heat.

ps. Is there an app which shows the changing CPU speed in the Taskbar?

This is for Windows 7 and it isn't in the task bar. It's a gadget. It's useful because it tells you the CPU load and measures how much memory you are using and if you turn on core temp it tells you the temperatures too.

EDIT: It will say the changing speeds too in the top corner.
