Hey guys
I would like to make a proposal. What do you think about an additional aspect when testing anything? Sometimes TTL says a product is "really quiet", "inaudible" or "whisper-quiet". But then i ask myself whether his "inaudible" is my "inaudible". My personal benchmark for sth. to be "quiet" is a "be quiet silent wings 2 120mm" at min rpm (about 4V).
So I recommend testing a relatively cheap product like a fan like Corsair SP120 (dB(A) at 20cm distance) on different V/rpm to set the benchmark. Every product can be compared to this scale.
It should be a subjective and an objective conclusion cause some frequencies are a pain...
In the end everyone can go for a SP120 plus a fan controller and has the chance to see whether the TTL-"quiet" is acceptable.
What do you think?
