I have a brand new NH-U12P SE2 Noctua CPU cooler laying around for little over a year now (got it for free from someone but I have only a gaming laptop). I recently bought an Asus Z97 pro gamer lga 1150 MB (ordered, still not shipped). I was thinking of using an AIO air cooler, however, since I have this I think Ill try it first.
The thing is, on the package of my CPU cooler it says that it only supports: 1366, 1156, 775, am3, am2+ and am2. However, on every online shop I check they have the exact same cooler but it also supports the 1150 and 1155.
My question is: will the old bracket fit the new 1150, is it easy to mod, or do I have to buy new bracket? If the answer is the last, where do I get my hands on this? I have tried Norwegian online shops, amazon and ebay, but no one has. I have seen someone selling his, so to say new, CM Neptune 280L AIO cooler for half price, saying he got as xmas gift and doesnt need it. Im considering buying it if I cant fix the Noctua.
