Noctua NH-D14 compatability

if you look on the noctua website they give a list of ram that is compatable and that isn't

from looking at it only the patriot viper II series will fit with the noctua

Thanks for the heads up Alicarve, I'm looking for a good air cooler and you have saved me a lot of time and effort. I was considering the Noctua but can see that it won't fit with my ram 3 x 2GHz Corsair Dominator on a ASUS P6X58D-E MoBo.
I think Noctua shot them selves in the foot there, by not making their cooler just 1cm taller. After all it's designed for enthusiasts...and what kind of ram do they usually buy? High performance, and that's very often has high heatsinks.

If you get the Doms with removable tops its fine, I use Dom GT's on the bench rig with the noctua, you just whip the top off one of the sticks.

so you dont have to move the fan on the noctua a little bit higher? just remove the first one top of
No mate no need to move the fan to the other side. OR just buy Mushkin ram, if you look in the latest video and review you will see it fits fine.
The new, red Mushkin kit is really sexy, in my opinion. They clock like beasts too.
