Hey guys,

Just looking at out fitting my rig with a bunch of these bad boys, does anyone here own them that can attest to the noise levels under PWM/fan curve?

Also, the 2k RPM and 3k RPM versions seem to be basically the same price, noisier at full load, but why bother getting the 2K PWM versions if the 3k PWM are the same price?

Given the other components of my rig, it would be silly not to get a bunch of these...

I haven't tested any 3000 RPM versions but I would presume that the minimum speed is a touch higher that the 2000 RPM versions. In my personal opinion if you need to have a fan running at 3000 RPM then you have failed at rig, it will be loud no matter how good the fan is, 2000 RPM is bad enough.

I have a pair of 2000 RPM iPPC's and they are exceptionally quiet at a given RPM, up to about 1100 RPM or ~55% PWM they are properly quiet, you couldn't hear it over a 650 RPM SP120. But as you go beyond that the airflow noise takes over, still not an unpleasant sound. They are just in a whole different league of quality, I would highly recommend them.

Check coolingtechnique.com , they have a really good testing method and videos to listen to fan noise
