i still reckon the xigmatek fans with coloured blades look awesome, sickeflows are cool as well but the phobya blak and red fans are *drools*

Noctuas look good after you get used to them its as simple as that.... not as nice as my aerocools but still better than when I first had them lol

The colour scheme has grown on me however, I still want the cougar fans. I wouldn't mind a set of the nzxt ones either. Both look good straight out of the box.

These are my fav looking fans at the moment
Not everyones cup of tea but I love the blade design, looks sweet in real life too, especially when you remove the LED's and see those white fins spin up hehe

Those Havik 140 fans are bloody awesome, is a shame you cant buy them anywhere.

It's a bit like hearing music you dont like, or wouldn't normally ever want to listen to, over and over again (such as if you work in retail, as I do)...eventually your brain snaps and forces itself to enjoy it, or go insane

Noctua should really do new colore/design on theire fans. If i had noctuas i would paint them.
Noctua's arent just ugly, they arent even very good....
They are very quiet, but they push hardly any air. Other fans like the Alaska Apache's and BeQuiet's are still just as silent but push way more air... a considerable amount more and at the same noise level. Plus the Noctua fans are the most expensive and a 3rd of the price more expensive than the above.... I dont get it.
Its just like a Nike Hoody or w/e costing more than another Hoody but is ugly and isnt as good quality or doesnt work as well. Popularity and marketing smears people's views on which fan to get or tricks their minds into automaticly thinking the the 'trendy' Noctua fans are the one for them to get. Even though they could get better fans for a lower price AND look nicer AND work better AND still be silent. No brainer.

No need to rage against the hive mind. All you have to do is point to a fan roundup. It turns out the 14cm Noctua is "nothing special."

I own the X-Silent 140 they recommended as well as Noctua's 14cm fan, but I haven't done any scientific comparisons myself.
