I just wanna say this about the NH-D14: last year if someone said I would cool a Core i7 to 4000 MHz fanless in a case with a rather modest airflow and test in Prime95 with 8 threads, i would said that THIS IS MADNESS,

With Noctua NH-D14, 20c ambient,i7 920@4000 MHz, 1.28v cpu-z, Fanless is possible.

Hi! First post here at oc3d and I'm already begging...Take a look at my crapcy (crap pc) and dare to say that I don't need the best heatsink on the market...Please note the pile of heatspreaders on the gpu!

Do xmas come in September?

Ciao

Currently, my second rig has the stock Intel cooler on it. It works okay at cooling a stock part, but that's not why you join an OCing website forum, is it? I've overclocked my 920 to 4 gigs, but haven't had a chance to mess around with the 860. I'd love to see the differenece in temps between the two chips, as I've heard that they both can overclock greatly, but the 860 stays cooler.

I also currently have the Scythe Mugen 2, an would like to compare the two coolers to show how the Noctura coolers just own. My friend has the Corsair H50, and I'd love to show how the Noctura coolers also own against the enclosed water coolers as well!

the cooler wont fit in my case due to the RAM i bought of you TOM

but the case fans would realy help get some better airflow,i am using one of the first noctua fans on the side and its not as good as the updated versions and the 120/140 would be so much better, the other fans would go on my CPU cooler to help get temps down as they have better cfm.

the TIM would be awsome as i am still using the stock stuff that came with my cooler

I would like to try a new cooling brand. I have been using the stock Intel cooler for my Q9550 for almost a year. I'm scared to overclock because it get overs 60C. I'm a college student so I do not have any extra money to spare.

So please let me win. Thank you.

Hey everyone, just remotely accessing my comp at home to say good luck to everyone. I've already got me a NH-D14 so happy winnings to the first placers!

My computer just melts in summer like my warrior melts just about anything that gets in his way.

How could I do OC when even stock it can't resist!? no waaaay.
