hi ok,

finished my cooling system and it seems to work but there is very little pressure. i can feel the water pressure in the tube going from the pump to the radiator but after it comes out the radiator all the pipes feel still and i can not feel much motion or none at all. also the water in the resvoir is still and not moving at all.

what could be the problem.

my setup is:

resevoir>pump>radiator>cpu>north bridge>resevoir.

plz help guys

cheers

did you clean out the rad before making the loop ...

all so you north bridge could be slowing the flow of the loop if its only a cheap pump.

yeah, twice. :(

it seems to be getting better, but still the only places on the stste where i can feel the pressure thru the tubing is on the pump outlet and inlet and my d5 is on full, is that normal?

hmm. well i don't feel any pressure from mine at all to be honest.

have you tryed sticking some die in the system and see how it goes round. Dye will show the speed of it flowing round the system.

ok lol i thought you were meant to feel the pressure of the liquid. i think the system is working properly because the coolers are pretty chilled. another question, how do i get rid of the bubbles in the resevoir, on top the coolant? their doing my head in. mayhem thanks very much for all your input, my first build so i dont have knowledge of what a finished system is spose to b like.

They ought to just sort themselves out. After a while of use they will dissappear.

Kinda like the ones in fizzy drinks ;D

best way is to tip the pc from side to side (depending on how the rad is mounted so the air gets unstrapped) mate and get as much out as possible. you need to do this from 5 to 8 times. you'll not get it all out stright away. then slow the d5 down to slow and wait 10 min and then do it again.

Once its done mate then turn the d5 back up to full speed.

takes about 10 min to work its way out.

On the old thermochills you could undo a screw to solve the problem quickly.

sorry about slow response in the middle of a rebuild on a pc.
