No Evga Gtx 780 classified reviews...

Hey guys, pre ordered the above from scan yesterday and just fancied a read up etc, but there's nothing. No reviews at all?!

What do we think is up with that?

The classified as you're aware isn't fully released yet (I don't think) hence why it was on pre order. I would look at reviews for the EVGA 780 ACX superclocked because it's essentially the same card but the Classified is just pushed/clocked even harder/higher

Yeah I thought that but asked scan n they said it was officially released a week or so ago :S confusing, but I suppose there won't be a great deal between them.

Although the only difference I saw is that it had 2 8pin pcie instead of 1 8 and 1 6 pin :/

Tbh mate a lot of reviewers will have reviewed the EVGA ACX editions already and it's possibly time wasted that could be used reviewing a completely new product rather than just a beefed up version of something they have already reviewed. Think of it like this, if you reviewed a card would overclocking it validate a completely fresh review?

P.S I'm still super jealous :)

I'm fairly sure that the PCB is also a tad bigger! Look at the PCI brackets at the end of the card:

If that is the case I am also intrigued as to why there may not be any reviews as Chris says. I just assumed the classified were cherry picked chips and not much more

The classifieds have different power delivery (14 phase instead of 8), slightly increased cooler area? and I would imagine are insanely well cherry picked. I'm sure EVGA published something on them recently.

If you look at the spec sheet the classified has a boost clock of 1046 and base of 993 the ACX SC does 1020 and 967 respectively.

All you need to know is that you can get 1400 on the core with these things:lol: ON AIR!

Mine card finally arrived, after LOT of waiting.
Two months later than I expect.
These days I will make much better photos.

In mean time, during waiting 780 my HD5870 cooler die and I couldn't play games.
Than I saw new fabric sealed EVGA GTX580 stock (772/1002) in Serbian newspapers for half price of new HD7970. I bought than and GTX580. :)
What for PhysX or backup card, one nice stock Fermi is always welcomed, old good type of OC, maybe even to protect if something happen during BIOS Flash of main card. When I got home and register GTX580 I figured out EVGA gave me 10 years warranty. I even didn't notice difference in last number AR(2) - TR (Lifetime > 10 years).

For me is most important two BIOS, supoort of BIOS without power limit in warranty, biggest number of different BIOS, you can change paste in warranty, open and clean card heat sink from dust.
EVBot, good look, good support and far best card look from side panel.
Perfectly clean look nice with some H100 without visible pipes as from 2009.
It's very hard to explain impression how card is big and wide, and I love wide not fat cards. I love and single slot cards but that is not possible for these monsters.
Because I love card not sleeping transformers.
