Intro:
This is going to be my third major build. The first was a water cooled AMD powered machine in a 750D with a black and red theme. My second build carried the same theme of black and red into a 900D powered by a 4770k.

Being my third build I wanted to pull out all the stops on this build. The build be a custom desk build. I love the crossdesk but the price and availability prevented me from going that route. So I decided that I would build the desk from scratch. Being in the military I decided I wanted to do a military theme build but not one with ACU or Multi-Cam pattern but one that was more focused on the special operations side of the house. Me personally am not in that community but I have a lot of respect for those that are.

Happy Veterans Day everyone this build is for you guys

I do need help though I am trying to upload a few photos and it is giving me an error no matter how I try to do it

Sounds like quite the project! Looking forward to it.

You probably need some more posts, 10 IIRC.

I love them too which is why I was attempting one of my own. But since this one here will be a scrath build, I'm also looking forward to the progress. :)

I wanted to use the crossdesk but the price tag and not being available made me just think "It can't be to hard to build my own"

I have seen the cross desk in person here in Oslo. I am very glad I never purchased it. Over priced and oversized for one thing.

I do believe it is a little overpriced but its funny that you say over sized cause it is what I based my dimensions off of.

£1600 here and only single tray version available.

Single tray would be all I need for right now. Eventually when my kids are older I wanna do another desk built with a triple pc set up.

Why don't you build your current desk so that it is easier to add a compartment or another whole pc.

Maybe make it so that you can add another compartment on to of it or on either side
(just my idea)

When you live in the city like Oslo, unless you want to pay around £1,500 a month on rent / mortgage appartments aren't huge. That is why I have built into the desk I have been using, since saving space is important for me.

Its also the reason why I bought the Dremel motosaw and not a proper scroll saw. I can assemble and disassemble in 30sec when I dont need it. My working area is about the 2m x 0.5m. How I have managed so far is a mystery to me ;)
