So guys Ive got this little haul from the peeps at MSI and I was thinking it might be nice to give it all away to you.

One thing all the regulars know is if people have to do more than fill in a form the amount of people taking part plummets and makes it much better odds to win!

So how about a treasure hunt? I could hide images of each item and you can enter to win one of each item if you find the hidden photo! Then we could randomly pick from the list of people that put the effort into finding the pictures?

It makes sense in my head anyways! Would you guys be willing to search for hours on end to get an MSI Gaming polo shirt or cap? Maybe a fabric MSI banner for your man cave wall? How about for all your fruitfone users wrapping your 4, 4S or 5 in an MSI Gaming metal phone case???

Not entirely sure about what you mean by "hidden pictures", but I like the idea. A bit more excitement than: click here, like this page, wait for an email. Could you eleborate on this idea, because I think a lot of people would love it.

It's been done before, basically he will take the picture above for example, hide it in the forum somewhere, you troll through and when you find were it is randomly placed, let Tom know. If he confirms it correct you are entered.

I see, but will we not just be able to use the search functions of this forum to find it pretty easily?
 
Do it, after next Tuesday though pleaseeeeeeeeeee. I don't want to fail my exams because of an online treasure hunt haha :)
 
haha, I like the image-hunt. Puts a little more effort to it. Winner, winner, chicken dinner..

Start it at the beginning of a weekend though!
 
Hey Tom and Team,

The problem I find with this is that not everyone sits on there ass all day with no job playing game and using forums.
A lot of us have real life i.e. work, kids, partners etc and don't have the time to trawl through the forums :(

I do love the idea but I also hate it at the same time.

And yet if he ran this another way, there would still be some that were not happy. Also it's not fair to link the unemployed or gamers with those that sit on their ass, their not the same people ;)

Hats off to Tom for keeping things fresh, Running the same old Facebook/Twitter/Newsletter comps don't generate the same level of interest. Keep in mind Yes Tom is doing this because he can, but also has business to run and extra activity for the forum etc aint a bad thing.

Sorry I aint trying to be Tom's mouth and sorry if anyone sees it that way, I don't know him personally but to be honest your statement is not well thought through mate.

If it goes live on my days off I'm in, I'd dig one of those t-shirts, if its not though, I've got no chance. I look after kids with autism and learning disabilities, I'm just too busy lol... anyway if it works out, great, if not good luck peeps!!

Nice way to generalize the users of a forum...
Last treasure hunt was on a sunday at 8pm, a reasonable day and time I would say. And after all it's not like you don't have a choice, bail on your kids for a day, call in sick :lol:
 
I work full time and this would keep me preoccupied when no one needs helping (woo, IT helpdesk massiv). I'm sadly rather slow so I'd doubt I'd find the image though :(
 
I work full time self employed doing computer, laptop and GHD repairs, just because I spend an inordinate amount of time on here means nothing I'm also on Facebook and Twitter but that ties in with work. These days I spend more time on OC3D because it's not Facebook which I find to be full of beggars and chancers and this site is more up my street helping and learning it's all part of the fun and if Tom decides to do a treasure hunt or a give away that's his prerogative either enter or don't no one is forcing you.
 
Don't worry we wont see him until the next comp, he only posts when there is a comp going on anyway. I'd rather see the prize go to someone who is reguallary on the forums because at least I know that person isn't just here for prizes.

I also work from home and I am lucky enough to be able to be on forums all day. I also suffer from quite bad anxiety and panic attacks and because of it I don't get out much. It doesn't mean i'm lazy, i'd love to be more active but I simply can't be. Well not till I get over this anxiety and crap anyway :(
