Next competition format ideas...

Hi Guys,

I've got a prize lined up for our next competition but I'm trying to think of a good competition format (give you a break from the treasure hunts!). Something maybe where you need to upload a picture of your rig to enter?

I'm not quite sure how we'd pick a winner though as voting for the best/worst rig is a bit unfair and picking at random a bit boring?

Depends who you are aiming the competition at, if it is at the forum members then something techy will work but it is for all the OC3D readers you will have to think about something more mainstream. May be think about something like the zombie fort that was on here a while ago. It is fun and there is no need to take it seriously, and instead of protecting the fort we need to protect Mr. Robot!

This one will be open to all, so it needs to be something reasonably easy and mainstream.

problem with your idea is that not everyone has access too photoshop and some people just cannot draw at all lol, its like they have drawn with there feet

Hmm...

I know not everyone can do this but how about a CoD4 match of the first 24 embers or something.

I know I wouldn't be in first place but it'll still be fun.

Or how about that most epic Fifa 09 goal.

I would pwn in that one. Scored from halfway lol.

Think of a gadget for every pc lover in picture for or written text form. the best gadget idea wins.

e.g auto back patter / slapper. every time you kill some one in a FPS game a small hand pats you back .... every time you get killed its slaps you across the head.

there's something running on the Gadget Show atm, the most iconic tech item.

2 presenters offer up items that have revolutionised the industry and the other presenter judges it.

We could adapt that so its open to all to offer an iconic item with refernece to PC's and/or modding and Jim and co. judges.

If we have enough prizes then we could rank them.

Something like put up a picture with the OC3D logo somewhere in it and the judges base it on how well hidden it is?

Good idea although I could always up the logo in Edinburgh castle and take the picture from my house.... If it goes in that direction it would have to be more about the picture placement and the picture itself, ie having it in the foreground of a sunset with the city behind it...

Yeah thats what I was meaning, but maybe something the reverse of that.

You have to hide a 640x480 size OC3D logo somewhere in your pc case? That could be quite fun
