New W/C Loop

Heya,

I installed this on Saturday, but not gotten round to actually posting pictures etc. To be fair, I'm a bit disappointed how it turned out, and I'm not entirely fully happy with how it looks. But I plan on adding a 280x waterblock and another rad to the loop so I'll make adjustments. I neglected to buy a 90 degree angle for the return line back to the pump/res that would have allowed me to loop it back over the motherboard tray without kinking. However the temps are certainly alot better than the H100i! With the same clock speed and voltage I was at 55c. Now with this setup I'm now at 44 - 45c under Pime95 and it's even quieter!

Kit:

Kyros Delrin Waterblock
NexXxos UT60 240mm Rad
EK 140 D5 XRES Pump/Res

7/16 XSPC Hose
Mayhems Ultra Pure H20

PC Spec:

AMD FX 8350 @ 4.8Ghz
Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
8GB RipJawsX
MSI AMD 280x [1180 Mhz Core / 1580 Mem Overclock]
Xonar D2X Soundcard
Thermaltake Toughpower 1200watt

Yes, I realise that side panel needs cleaning :)

no way to get the hose through the rubber grommet where the pump is?
looks good nonetheless

Thanks chaps,

I could have looped it trough the grommet but would have had a kind of stupid look U bend to prevent kinking, Now looking back it would probably have looked better anyway. The IN line could have come trough over the grommet as well. But to be fair I was somewhat kind of stressed with faffing around with the radiator install that I just wanted to get it working since I planned to add another rad and gpu block anyway.

Nice job dude on your install I maybe just a little paranoid but I personally would not place a res above my PSU, simply because the cock up fairies would pay me a visit they always do.
