Yup, decided it was time to ditch the TV tuner in favor a nice sound card and get me some 5.1 digital speakers... I love my TV tuner and all but I never ever use it, so why not utilize that wasted slot with something better eh?
For the soundcard I decided to go with the Bluegears HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 card, the same one that Eguy has and swears by. I did a lot of research debating on whether or not to get an X-Fi card and all I heard was bad things about X-Fi and games, so I opted for the Bluegears on that front. I also heard that the Bluegears card straight bitchslaps the X-Fi lineup in music reproduction. Can't complain there!

For speakers I opted for the Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 surround setup. The reviews on it were great opposed to a few others in the same price range so that's what made me decide to go with this set. I think I finally have my room arranged in such a way that I can find a place to put all of the satellites, yay!

This is the first time I've spent over $200 on a set of computer speakers, and I hope it's worth it. I should be receiving all of these goodies on Thursday. I'll make sure to do a full writeup on the sound card / speaker combo. It looks like a winning team to me!
