New sound card

I am looking to buy my first sound card ever! I have only used on board audio since forever but since I have some money laying around and have a 90 dollar gift card to Pccasegear I'm looking to buy a sound card... I don't mind spending around 200 but it has to be on Pccasegear hence the gift card... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't know if this helps anything but I'm using Steelseries Siberia v2 headset and have a Sony sterio system.

Choose an Asus card like the d2x if you want something really good or just a dx if you just want a good card

So is the d2x better than the xonar stx?

The Xonar STX is better in the sense that it has more features but it is only the better choice if you actually need them. It has a very nice headphone amp but your headphones don't need one so I would say save some money and get the D2X.

Im using the STX and i highly recomend it. It has many great connection possibilities you should check out. I recomend reading the manuals before you decide what to buy

Get the STX from case gear its 10 bucks cheaper and is their flagship card
