New router doesn't work (with pictures)

However, not to worry as I got the internet back on the ISP router, and in the most simple way aswell... Theres a reset button on it, and I already pressed it hundreds of times. Turns out you need to hold it down for like 5-10 seconds and the whole thing reboots and ...well, now its fixed. -_-

Thanks for the help though, but for now im gonna wait for a new modem before using the new router.

I went to the city after the ISP router broke down, 3 different shops. No one had stand alone modems (only routers with built-in modems). One shop even had routers with no modems built-in, but no stand alone modems... what a nice way to run a shop, lol.

Still open for suggestions on what modem to get (if it even matters).

if you can afford it, anything cisco / linksys is about as good as it gets, but D-Link, TP-Link, and even Asus are very good also, Netgear not so much these days although for cheap reliable units, they are moderately good.

Personally if I was after a new DSL router, I would be looking at one of the following;

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus...mbps-dual-band-adsl-2-2plus-vdsl-modem-router

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/link...-dual-band-modem-router-4-port-gigabit-switch

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/tp-l...less-dual-band-gigabit-adsl2plus-modem-router

or possibly

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/netgear-d6200-wifi-modem-router-80211ac-dual-band-gigabit

But for a basic home user, anything by the above mentioned names, and you can't go far wrong.

Only thing as mentioned earlier is to make sure you get your settings out of the old / current DSL router before anything so as you can input them into the new one when you set it up.

Sorry, completely forgot you asked about info. in ISP router. The only sticker on it is this one: picture here. If anythings of relevance on it let me know.

And I think you're misunderstanding. I dont need a new router, I already have this one from Cisco, and its brand new. Im not looking to letting it sit just because it doesnt have a built-in modem (I cant take it back). Thats why I need a STANDALONE MODEM.

We used to have this modem from Siemens, but this was before our ISP gave us routers with built-in modems. We do not have the one from Siemens anymore.
