Ok the comments on my untidy wiring noted see below for a bit of an improvement.

New PSU AX850, has longer leads, so the suggestions were now possible..

Added new D-14, which was also recommended. CPU temp at the moment 4c over MB temp.

I hope this meets with general approval.. as it was a pain getting clearance for the leads behind the mobo back plate

Slight update... got rid of the Ati HD5870 as it was having probs running the new Dirt3 with DX11 & Win7 64 bit

so bought the Msi N580GTX Twin Frozr II/OC, this cured the 'Red-Sun' probs, but still haves issue's with random crashes. This is a widespread problem with other gamers, using similar setups. Short term fix = force DX9

On the upside, the 580GTX is much faster than my old HD5870

Performance Index test now gives 7.8 for Cpu, everything else maxxed @7.9 god knows what gives 7.9 for cpu? Zeon?
