New rig suggestions

So Im going to be building a new rig here very soon and need some suggestions. Ive been reading a lot on here and kind of narrowed down what I want. I need help in deciding on ram! This is what I have picked out so far.

1. ASUS Sabertooth X58 LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

2. Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor

3. Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler

4. ...ram? *suggestions here and ones that work great with noctua please

You cant go wrong with a 3x2gb kit of Muskin Blackline, Redline or Ridgebacks, newegg stock all 3 and all 3 fit under the D14 no problem so its personal preference/your budget to what ones you get.

What Hunta said. Perhaps even Corsair Dominator GT but they are red so I doubt it'll go with your motherboard.

yeah the one closest to the cooler, the blacklines arent as fast as the radioactive and redline ridgebacks (RR and RA are the same kit just different heatsinks)

I also had just recently ordered some MSI 450gts gpu's to run in sli.......but due to some recently found treasure to throw on ebay and is sold i have extra funds at this point. Which Ill end up sending back.

Any suggestions as well on 2 GPU's to run in sli?

the rev 2 doms have the screws on them like the GT's

but the mushy is better yes

u can look at the 768mb gtx 460's for value as they scale better than the 1gb models and are relatively cheap and will spank the arse off a 480

Well I was Talking with Alien the other day and he pointed out a wicked card apparently so i was also considering MSI N480GTX Lightning GeForce GTX 480 in sli

you haven't mentioned a psu. if your psu can handle them. two 460's sounds good.

just have good airflow in the case

Case isn't going to be an issue I don't think (Phantom). PSU may.

Your build is looking very simiar to what im putting together, you can check my initial post for it...build saga begins or something like that just above yours in the forum. I haven't decided on memory either. Reading here everyone seems to like Mushkin so im going to check it out. From my research i think im going to go with 1600mHz CAS8...not the fastest but not much of a price premium either. Startn with 6gb, then add another 6gb later. Im going with GTX 460 1gb in sli, the other option in this range ati 6850 crossfire, similar performance and even lower power requirements...I think they only require 1 power connector.
