Nice! Did you get the Desire HD or the regular Desire?
Normal desire for the following reasons
It has a larger battery MaH
Same resolution screen (the HD is misleading as its the same DPI just stretched out on a bigger screen = less sharp than the normal desire)
Possibility to get a cheaper monthly deal
annd
that bigger screen will probably use more battery, but the main reason was they were outta stock for a week - not much between them tbh

the desire hd is very sexy looking tho
i am wit you mate the desire is my next choice i dont follow the trend of iphone and BB bold
the desire is alot better with the UI yes the iphone has a few little quirks and is faster but marginal
the galaxy s is also another of my faves its biggest downfall is the tackyness of it

Yer too rioght mate it's a shame I still have to wait about 6 months till I can get myself a proper phone instead of this Samsung Jet (piece of junk :S.)
If I were to get myself a phone right now it'd probably be a Desire HD or an iPhone 4, since they both look uber smexy (I'm a sucker for looks
) and perform great, aswell as being user friendly

The n8 isnt that bad, but its not amazing for the money, it can get a bit sluggish on the 680mhz cpu with a bunch of crap running but other than that its ok for me, if it had the same cpu as the desire HD or even the Desire Z it would be a bunch better.
Feature set wise the Desire HD wins out no questions asked tho.

Had my desire a day...have already and rooted/debranded it from the stock 2.2 orangefirmbloatware ^^
Now running generic 2.2 froyoBeen using it all day and already ran it down hehe
Some tweaking is in order...maybe an after market battery
1400mha would be better
