New pc

Just got done watching your new review on the 7820x. I'm in the process of building a new PC. I have been going back and forth from Intel or AMD, to what one I should get. I have had Intel for many years. I want to get the best bang for my money and last me many years before another upgrade. So I have a budget but if I need more I can go more.

• Where are you located? USA

• What is your budget? $2000.00 but might be more since I might not get all parts at once.

• Will you need a monitor, keyboard, and/or mouse included in that budget? monitor trying to get the G-sync with 2560x1440 with 1ms

• Shall you be requiring an OS? YES

• What will you be using this rig for? Twitch, Gaming and making YouTube Videos

• If gaming, what resolution will you be playing at?2560x1440

• Will you be overclocking? YES

• Do you need a full build or will you be reusing some old parts?Samsung evo 500gb and Corsair hx850

If you want value you won't get it from Intel. If you are considering the 8 core Intel then you must include the 8 core Ryzen in there. I would opt for the 1700 as it's pretty much the same as all of the others providing you overclock it.

I don't know if this helps very much but depending on the board features you want I would personally get the B350 Strix. It's very cheap, and quote a review "Just as good as any 370 board providing you don't need two NVME slots etc".

Then 16gb ram 3200mhz and go from there. If you can afford it after that get the 1080ti, if not get the 1080. If you really find yourself a bit broke you can opt for the 1070, which is fine at 1440p *but* if very high details are your thing you are cutting it quite close with the 1070.

After some time I came up with this:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZH2PTH

Added another 500gb SSD for the possibilities of RAID 0, hopefully will fit the games you need, 2TB just for the rendering output, plus the H440 has 11 3.5" bays so you have the room for expansion on that or maybe just doing RAID 1 for that stuff. There is some spare budget there so go wild, but I mainly left that their for getting more 2TB WD Blacks that would be required later down the line for rendering output.

I went for the Ryzen 1700 it's not gonna be the best for actual gaming performance, you'll lack several FPS if anything really, but for streaming and then rendering it'll work well. Otherwise wait for Coffee Lake for the 6C/12T or just try the 7700K.

EDIT: Beaten to it :D

I just order my case. I got the Corsair 570x. Going to get more next week hopefully. Would it be better to get the Corsair HD fans and change out the stock ones.

System is all built. I got a ? though hopefully someone can answer it. Problem is I got a Asus Strix z270f and the corsair h100iv2. Its running but do i have it in the right fan headers. Motherboard has cpu fan, cpu opt, cha_1, cha_2, h_amp fan and AIO pump.

How I have it hooked up is

AIO to CPU fan and the other cable is going to the 2 fans from the raditor. 3 case fans are going to cpu opt, cha_1, and cha_2.

On Corsair link its shows
30.4 c temp
fan 0 rpm
pump 1260

Have the pump connected to the AIO pump port.
You should have gotten fan splitters or something to allow you to run your fans off the pump(can't remember been so long) just use a splitter and run them off the CPU fan. Or run both from the pump.
If you can't do either, then just CPU_FAN/CPU_OPT
Then just plug in the case fans to the remaining 3. Doesn't matter which unless you have a fan that's a 4 pin.
