Im a bit confused as to what the 2600k has over the 950 and why more people seem to go towards that - I was looking at the 950/960 cpus with perhaps a sabretooth motherboard and hopefully get a haf x case, later on going to a cpu water cool build - this is mainly for video editing photoshop etc and perhaps some games. So im sticking with my old 9800 gtx for now - with lots of ram which i havent decicded on yet got any views thanks

I7 950 = 1366 = OLD = SOON TO BE UPGRADED = LESS RAM(24GB)

I7 2600K = Unlocked Multi = Fucking awesome = New = not going to be upgraded = takes more RAM (32GB)

from what i have read it performs much better than the i7 950 also the p67 platform has a higher memory bandwidth than the x58, something along them lines...

You can disable turbo now and have a constant overclock on sandyb by cranking up the multiplier

It's a really good performing chipset for a good price
