new motherboard help

hey

I am currently looking for a new motherboard but finding hard to find ones...
I have a 4100fx cpu so that will be swapped into the new motherboard until i can get a better cpu.
I also would like to be able to crossfire so the board will need that too.
my current colour is blue so need a board that is black or blur no funny colours.

If any one can help would be a big help

Or the Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 if you're looking for something cheaper.

What CPU are you planning to upgrade to? Cause if it's not the 8320 or better it's going to be pretty pointless. You'll also need an aftermarket cooler with that and if you get the 990x board, you'll have the freedom to overclock.

Iirc, that board also supports 16x/16x CrossfireX which might be benificial on a platform that doesn't support PCI-E 3 yet. What GPU do you have?

As stated above, the ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 is a good M/B and it is just in your price range at £97 on ebuyer and £99 on Overclockers

hey i have a 7770 2gb from asus and i already have a h80 watercooler really dont know what cpu i will be getting yet

+1 for this. Its a good 'board and cheap. Only issue is it needs good airflow as the heat sinks are mostly under the radiator for any AIO cooler that has the radiator on the rear fan bit.

There's not much point in putting a 7770 in CrossfireX tbh. You'll be better off selling this card and buy one, higher end card.

Definitely do get an 8320. It doesn't cost that much (even for someone on a budget) and if you get anything below this chip, you might just as well not upgrade your CPU at all.

6350 and above for a CPU upgrade if you want to go AMD again otherwise its not really worth it.

But then again the price difference between the 6350 and 8320 is only about 15 quid. I do agree with you, but for that price he might just as well go 'all out'. Specially with a board like this.
