New Members: Post your introduction!

Hello all, My name is Shawn from Jamaica age 26 trying to get into OC a little bit better as I normally just use the automatic OC within the BIOS from Asus big Asus fan boy here as well.

Kind regards : Shawn :-)

Please read up on that, especially the voltage (Vcore). Word is that ASUS, as well as most of the others (including my Gigabyte) set the voltages insanely high on auto-OC. A good rule of thumb is that if you are just learning, keep it all below 1.30 volts Vcore. You can do higher, but make sure you have a decent cooling solution (read: RADIATOR) for any serious testing. You can do some light stuff on air though, if you are watching the temps carefully.

Hello everyone. I've been a fan of Tom's for some time and a member sense 2012, so I guess I should do myself a favor and write my first post.

I'm a big computer geek as I'm sure most of you are. I found my way here from TTL's videos which I've been watching since probably around 2011 when I started doing build research for my current computer.

Though I've not posted, I've spent quite a bit of time crawling this forum and appreciate everyone's contributions and insight.
